KitCAD Rego Help and Information.
KitCAD 1.18 and above display the above prompt
for registration upon starting of the program
Users will be prompted every 3 minutes until a valid codekey is
entered in the REGO dialog below.
To access the REGO dialog wait until prompted and press the
REGO button, or in Help | About on the KitCAD 1.19 header will
display the same dialog .
After getting a valid codekey - the user may enter it in the
two text boxes provided, then press enabled REGO button to save
the information, and press ok to finish.
KitCAD 1.1x will have to be restarted to allow the codekey to
function. The prompts for user registration has been removed in
KitCAD 2.
To copy the codekey's, simply double-click on the key within
the email, and right click - then select copy. Go into the
KitCAD rego dialog, right click in the text box required, and
then select paste. Repeat this for both PassWord and Number as
provided in the email
NOTE : You will need to hold down the ALT key - and
press the TAB key to cycle back to KitCAD from your email
client. The program has been known to look frozen while the
REGO dialog is displayed which is not the case - the REGO
dialog is hidden behind the plan view. The Plan view can be
moved to another screen or lower on the display so the user can
see the REGO dialog as needed.
NOTE : The Password and Number are case sensitive. Each
must be entered as shown in the email.
The character of '0' is entered as a ZERO, also as an example the uppercase letter of 'R' is not equal to a lowercase 'r'.
