CutUp Machine-It, for KitCAD; Introduction
CutUp Machine-It for KitCAD (HTML) requres a supporting HTML5 compliant Web Browser.
Please note that the Templates and Volumes required must be loaded before the processing of either a KP2 file or a parent KitCAD i3 KGC rX window.
The Machine-It and Volume Editors allow HTML5 to use the javascript supported object of
localStorage
, see below for more inforamtion.
Support differs for each security environment enabled by the Web Browser and may not be able to function in all environments due to security restrictions.
At the time this document was created,
English is the only supported language of the CutUp Machine-It for KitCAD interface.
CutUp Machine-It, for KitCAD, guide
- Start KitCAD i3 KGC rX
- Click the HELP icon, that will display the rX help documents
- Scroll down the rX help document index page, and then Click the CNC Processing functions hypertext link, that will display the CutUp Machine-It for KitCAD interface
- Click the Machine-It hypertext link, that will display the Machine-It file template editor page
- Click the Set Local Storage button, to set the selected template in HTML5 Local Storage
- Click the << hypertext link, and return to the CutUp Machine-It for KitCAD interface
- Click the VolEditor hypertext link, that will display the Volume file editor page, VolEditor
- Click the Select Volume button, and load the data at the bottom of the page into the Volume file editor page
- Click the Set Local Storage button, to set the selected combined Volume in HTML5 Local Storage
- Click the << hypertext link, and return to the CutUp Machine-It for KitCAD interface
- Go back to the KitCAD i3 KGC rX window and open a new drawing or draw something - And then continue to the next step below
- Go back to the CutUp Machine-It page at any stage of drawing, and; Click the Use rX file button, and wait - processing may take 10 seconds or more
- Left Click and then Right Click the Processed Results, which will display a pop-up menu
- Click the Copy function, allowing end-user to paste resuts into another file as required via the Operating systems Clipboard, if supported
If running CutUp Machine-It for KitCAD as a 'stand alone' web page
and without starting KitCAD, end-users must
click the
submit button to load the default library system for processing.
Note: Once Machine-It and VolEditor have set the Local Storage, it may not need to be reloaded again (online version only).
If Local Storage is unset or the is missing information then the system control is return without action upon the end-user processing request.
The modified DCEF guiclient.exe 1.0 and 3.0 will require end-users to set the Local Storage for each instance,
closing may remove data from the Local Storage.
Advanced users and administrators can pre-set the Machine-It and VolEditor elements required for dataloading if desired (
support is not included in this document)
Machine-It and Volume Editors
The seperated Editors allow data to be set and in the case of VolEditor some editing of the information.
Information on removing the Local Storages may also be located upon the help referance page/s of the editors.
Legacy KitCAD i3 KGC online user accounts are supported if end-user has uploaded all required Legacy KitCAD 2 files.
