This page contains links to objects or items used in the first KitCAD examples. You may download and install these extra files at any time. These files are demo's and may not function as desired, or correctly. See Example Object Item Library for more information
The following are shown. Full height, wall, base, OpenGL rendered corner base cupboard, and a VRML rendered base drawer cabinet.
Download the KGC conversion web page (Not Included in Downloads - pre-released 30th October 2006) - Javascript version of Kp.bpl KGraphicControl
Download the libsys3.zip file and help (Not Included in Downloads - Now Updated with KitCADi3 - pre-released 9th July 2006) - A compiled library system (created by i3_mkvrmllibsys.bat) for KitCAD2v5. Includes BC2DI, WC2DP, BC4DR, FC2DP, CNRBC2DI; See the included notes.
Download the kp2js.zip file (Not Included in Downloads - 10th September 2005 and Updated on the 13th June 2006) - Export data from the KitCAD2 Library System dat file into JavaScript formatted files required for making KitCADi3 html. See the included readme.txt, and kp2html.zip addon below for more information.
Download the kp2kpd.zip file (Not Included in Downloads - 30th October 2005) - Export data from the KitCAD2 KP2 file into KitCAD1 KPD DAT formatted files. See the included readme.txt for more information.
Download the kp2dbflib.zip file (Not Included in Downloads - Not listed in Kpup or any updates - 10th July 2005 - Test Only! Backup all KitCAD files before use!!) - allows Administrators adding Library System files to OBDC database alias via DBF, MDX and DBT formats.
Download the lowercasetool.zip file (Not Included in Downloads - 3rd May 2005) - filetool program allows users to find and replace text of filenames to lowercase, an example would be to change text from drive BC2DI.KPD to bc2di.kpd
Download the texttool.zip file (Not Included in Downloads - 3rd May 2005) - filetool program allows users to find and replace text within KitCAD files, an example would be to change text from drive C:\ to D:\
Download the cliped_setup.zip file (Not Included in Downloads - 09th January 2005 and Updated on the 3rd May 2005, 4th April 2006, 14th August 2008) - an example to allow users generation of Bitmapped files required for KitCAD2.exe KP2 demo file systems. Only Minor updates will be supplied for this program; such as more colour ranges, etc. Requires ClipEditor add-ons samples, see below.
Download the ClipEditor add-ons; (Not Included in Downloads - 20th March 2005) - an update example to allow users generation of JPG files from BMP templates for kp2vrml97.exe including Timber Clipart or the default Pink Clipart with ClipEditor2; requires cliped_setup.zip found above. Unpack BMP template files using MSDos batch file.
Download the i3_mkvrmllibsys.zip file patch. (Not Included in Downloads - 20th February 2005 and updated 9th-13th July 2006) - an update example to allow users generation of KP2 VRML/X3D INF files for both kp2vrml97.exe and KitCAD2v5.exe using a MSDos batch files. The compiled result library system may be downloaded as libsys3.zip and includes all inf files required for i3_mkvrmllibsys.bat to operate - see libsys3.zip link above. Added filetool texttool sharp/blug/fog viewer options.
Download the kp2html.zip file (Not Included in Downloads - 30th October 2004, 13th June 2006, and Updated on the 16th November 2006, with update another pending) - an example to allow users generation of HTML/CSS/JPG/KGC files Based on the KitCAD2.exe KP2 for user created file systems. kp2html.exe allows KP2 files to be exported to web based formats like KitCAD i3 in 2007 for example. Required files needed for this download are, listed above; KGC conversion (required for default), or cliped_setup.zip (optional), and kp2js.zip (optional).
Download the shapes15.zip file (Is Included in Downloads - Not listed in Kpup or any updates - 30th October 2005) - Updated Shapes.exe default KPTG and KPT templates for the 2005 fixed version of kp2glu32.exe
Download the mkkp2mrg.zip file (Not Included in Downloads - 05th September 2004) - an update example to allow users generation of files Based on the kpai.exe for user created file systems. No updates will be supplied for this program.
Download the mkkpti.zip file and help. (Not Included in Downloads - 27th June 2004 and Updated on the 09th August 2004) - an update example to allow users generation of Shape Templates KPTI, KPTS, KPT, and KPTG files with the use of a win32 wizard. Based on the Shapes.exe to aid user created shape systems for KitCAD2. Update this file with kpdrup2.zip, or as needed.
Download the mkkpdkpr.zip file and help. (Not Included in Downloads - 15th February 2004 and updated on the 09th March 2004) - an update example to show users how one can create single KPD and KPR files with the use of simple MSDos Batch file commands. Based on the mkdemo.zip update below to aid user created systems.. Update this file with kpdrup2.zip, or as needed.
Download the mkdemo.zip file and help. (Not Included in Downloads - 12th February 2004 and updated on the 09th March 2004) - an update to create demo library systems run from the KitCAD2 complaint file types within the default system of libsys1.zip using the file named mklibsys.bat, and a windows wizard style of application named usr_mklibsys.exe for user created systems.
Download the machine.zip file (Not Included in Downloads - Not listed in Kpup or any updates - 1st January 2005) - Extra and Updated Cutup.exe and cnc machine scripts for KitCAD1/2 2002 users
Download the qiq2kp2.zip file (Not Included in Downloads - 01st October 2003 but uploaded on the 20th Octobar 2005, updated 13th June 2006) - Designed to allow US ASCII Tab Separated Data Text exporting files in creating KitCAD2 files for importing data and added reporting - qiq2kp2 will not be updated - Requires Aditional 3rd party software to generate Tab Separated Data Text.
Download the kp2vml.zip file (Not Included in Downloads - 30th September 2006) - Example of kp2svg re-named to allow VML (Vector Markup Language) exporting of KitCAD2 files for exporting data - kp2vml will not be updated - MS IE+5 CSS rendering only.
Download the libsys2.zip file (Not Included in Downloads - 9th March 2004) - allow objects with Imperial sizes to be used - demo of iBC2di * only.
Download the libsys1.zip file (Is Included in Downloads - 06th October 2003) - an update for KitCAD19x.zip users with the following objects and items included with a Setup:
Update the libsys1.zip file with kpdrup2.zip, or as needed.
KitCAD 2 files requires VOL, KPI, KPR, KPD, files to allow
the functions in other parts of the KitCAD package like
CutUp.exe to work correctly. Files created using these files
will allow data export only, unless a rule is created for each file.
kp2vrml97.exe is required for VRML and X3D photo realistic 3D renderings of KP2 file types.
KitCAD2.zip, KitCAD2F.zip, and KitCAD2Ds.zip users DO NOT need to download the libsys1.zip update!
